Renting an apartment in Paris changed everything. Daily trips to the market became routine and we stayed in every night.

I loved the feeling of walking into our cozy apartment after a day of sightseeing (and seven flights of stairs) with tired feet and tangled hair. We would climb on the roof, drink wine, watch the sunset, dance in the kitchen, cook a feast, eat by candlelight, and climb back on the roof to watch the Tower sparkle. It was the best.

Where in Paris did you stay? How did you find the apartment? I love the idea of renting an apartment in a foreign city. The best way to experience a place is to live like a local.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Paris rooftop shots. How great that you got an apartment with access to the roof!

One of my favorite shots is one I took one winter from a room on the top floor. Check it out: www.laceybediz.com

Your recent blogs are making me ache for Europe! Thanks for sharing your adventures!

Next time I go to Paris, I am going longer and renting an apartment after seeing this. It looks like it makes Paris even better, if that's possible!

Your photos are truly amazing. Would you consider telling us more about the camera you use and your techniques?

renting an apartment is definitely the way to go. my family and i rented a loft once and the feeling of coming home to a real home (however temporary) at the end of a long day was amazing.

damn girl, why you always gotta be traveling to exotic places and hanging out with beautiful people and eating fresh fruit? you're making those of us who live a buffy reruns and cereal lifestyle look bad.

The four of you stayed in that tiny apartment?!

I didn't really enjoy Paris a lot but your posts are making me think maybe I should give it another chance. :)

Such beautiful photos, Olivia! I don't know how, but you have managed to make Paris look even more magical than I remember (which is hard to do)!

Quick question. I am going for a short trip in a couple of days and looking for delicious, cheap places to eat. I will definitely be checking out Le Voltigeur! Looks like my kind of food. Do you have any other suggestions? Like where you got that incredible looking Croque Madame?

Thank you! :D
