I'm guilty of finding recipes I love and making them over and over and over. A few of my staples: caramel salted brownies, truffle mac and cheese, drop biscuits, and banana bread.
This banana bread is the way my mom tricked me into liking bananas when I was little -- she loaded it up with so much chocolate and coconut that I simply could not resist.
The recipe is super easy and a great way to use overripe bananas. The secret is adding a tablespoon of maple extract or maple syrup (or both if you have them, which is what I do). I put chocolate chips and coconut in and on top of the batter. Use as much or as little as you want (I prefer much).

i do exactly the same thing - i have made butternut squash soup countless times this winter (but it's wonderful every time!). seeing new recipes on blogs is always good motivation to try out new ones!
looks delicious!
I was at a Belgium restaurant last week for dinner. For about a minute and a half, I thought that they had truffle fries. No go. :( It was a big disappointment.
Looks sooooo good, Olivia!
that is everything I want in a bread!!
GAH! This looks amazing... blows the banana bread I posted on my blog this morning out of the water. :)
Looks AH-mazing!

Girl, you could have a bakery and it would be wonderful! Thanks for sharing such beautiful photos and tasty recipes!
This is insane. AND what's even better is that I'm staring at three overripe bananas. Stoked!

Looks amazing. I've always loved banana bread.
a lot of things look good on your blog, olivia. but this. oh my word. this took it to a whole new level.
i'm literally going to make (my own version) some right now. trader joes box with an added ripe banana and choc chips. not nearly as fancy as yours but it will have to do.
we did the same thing growing up! Chocolate chips and coconut...or sometimes choc chips and cinnamon sugar on top. Yummo.
mmm..that looks delicious! do you have the recipe that you could share? :)
This has every ingredient I love!
Wow, what a decadent twist on delicious banana bread!
Pretty MUCH HEAVEN!!!
Oh wow...I love banana bread of any kind, but this looks like the best!!
I have some bananas in the freezer waiting to be turned into something as beautiful as this! Chocolate and banana were born to be together.
Dear Olivia,
HOW DO YOU STAY SO THIN?!
No, but seriously. I want the secret. All of your posts seem to be about delicious food and leisurely strolls, and we have never once heard "Oh today I busted my ass at the gym and it blew," or "today I felt fat so I ate a salad instead of the amazing delicious food I made for all my friends."
So, truth, how are you eating all these nommable treats and still looking as fit and gorgeous as you do?
Love,
Ellie
mmm sounds delicious! I love banana bread and always have coconut on hand - never thought to put the two together but I'll definitely have to next time I whip up a bash! Thanks for sharing... looks delicious!
