an epic weekend in franklin.
Thursday and Friday of this weekend were too perfect. Tyler's mom came in town for the Bluebird show, and we loved having her here. She is the sweetest woman in the world. We had beautiful weather and spent the days eating tons of desserts, dancing in parking garages, walking around downtown Franklin, and basically having the best time ever. Tyler and I felt so lucky to have both of our families here.
Since I put on my pajamas Friday night, I have not taken them off. We had the flood of the century (literally) and were stranded in our house, but we were the extremely fortunate ones. We endured the lock-in by baking sweets, catching up on Glee and Modern Family, and working on new cake stands (will be up in the shop today or tomorrow!).
The sun is out today and hopefully enough roads are clear that we can go do all the things we need to do before we return to Charleston! School was canceled for my sister today, so at least one good thing came from the flood...

jeez, glad to hear you guys are ok. i'm not sure i'd mind staying indoors with that minty chocolate cake either. xo
Sounds like fun family times. We will have the best time when we are stuck inside on rainy days. Missed you at the party, we'll have another soon!
Aaaa crazy weekend! What a kick-off to summer. I've been hearing about all the flooding in TN and it sounds horrible. But at least you got to have a lot of fun with your family !
Sounds like a great weekend. I love Modern Family...Manny is so great. Hope everything dries out!
That rain! Ugh. Great pictures! Looks like it was a still a fantastic weekend.
Sounds like a lovely weekend! My weekend was spent in my pjs all weekend too, watching the rain pour down. I'm so glad to finally see some sunshine!

I'm actually from that general area (western Kentucky with a lot of family in Bowling Green) and received probably 1000 texts all weekend about how horrible the flooding was...and I don't think they got it nearly as bad as Franklin/Nashville. Glad to see things are improving!
how fun! that first shot is fantastic.
Looks like such a fun weekend! Glad you all stayed safe and dry, I can't believe the flooding you guys are having.

such a watery murky weekend for us nashvillians! glad yours turned out okay. the eastside stayed pretty safe..but apparently waters are still rising.
way to not let the rain dampen your spirits! from the looks of it - it couldn't have been more fun!
