a weekend of local food and sleepy cats.
3.15.2010
This weekend included the Franklin Farmers' Market (the quintessence of quaintness), complete and utter gluttony in the form of Italian food, endless hours of plate hunting (thus a newly stocked etsy shop) and soaking up the last few precious days with my family. Other things of note this weekend: I spaced out reading in the airport and had to be paged to my gate (wow...), and Southern Flourish premiered! You can view the magazine in it's entirety in my last post or on their website.

That sounds like an absolutely delightful weekend! I'm so jealous that you guy have farmer's markets- ours don't start until may.
Milk is something I rarely see at my farmers markets...I bet it's divine. Who's cat is that?
that cake stand as absolutely fantastic! my mum would love it. i've gotta get in to this etsy shop thing...
I love Franklin... it's one of my favorite days trips around Nashville.
aha i can't believe you got called to your gate! i flew by myself last week too and i was SO nervous something like that would happen! {didn't almost miss my flight but i did get singled out for a pat down search. it was terrifying.}
i love that cat photo.. makes me want to find a little nook like that and nap!
glad your weekend at home was so wonderful!
CONGRATS ON SOUTHERN FLOURISH! its so lovely!
i love farmers markets. and that pizza looks so yummy. i woke up craving pizza this morning and i think your picture just sealed the deal...pizza for lunch today :)
I can't wait for it to get warm out so the good farmer's and flea markets around here will finally open. Glad you had a good weekend!
congratulations with Southern Flourish:)
what a perfect kitty pic. i love cats so much, their approach to life inspires me...eat, play, sleep, cuddle, enjoy. glad you had fun and caught your plane and congrats again on the mag!
how fun to be home! I've always been scared I'd fall asleep and be paged to the gate how funny that happened to you. So glad you made it though!!
sounds like the perfect weekend! great photos ;)
sounds like you had a good weekend :)
I'm so glad you had a great time in Franklin! And yes, we had such a good time in Charleston. Five Loaves was delicious as always (Tyler wasn't working, bummer), and we took so many photos and visited so many lovely places! Thanks for emailing me :) xo
What a lovely weekend... that cat is how I feel, sleepy!! I've been busy writing paper after paper and I am very much ready for a break that includes local food, and relaxation. That pizza looks incredible!! Wishing you a lovely Monday! xo
ok, so now i need pizza asap. i'm so glad your weekend was wonderful.
Ohhh, the mag looks great! I'm saving it in my favorites folder to spend time reading while digesting my dinner... congrats, you!
Your weekend sounds so wonderful....yum that pizza looks delicious...glad you had a great time with your family and a big CONGRATS on Southern Flourish! xxoo :)
pretty photos! and that's funny you had to be paged.. but it's the best feeling when a book can suck you in like that! :)
haha you crack me up! I think we all know how it can be to zone out reading.. but in an airport.. that's a special talent :)
I love farmer's markets! Opening day of the Portland Farmers Market is this Saturday and it's supposed to be sunny and warm! It might just be heaven on earth :)
Be careful about the farmer's market. I live about a minute from the one in Franklin, and my mother found a Walmart sticker on one of the oranges there. We were shocked...
Awww... that kitty is so precious!
