Even though it was gray and gloomy outside, I managed to drag my dad and sister to the Franklin Farmers' Market on Saturday morning. Since Charleston's market is closed until April, I had been going through serious withdrawals and needed my fix of local produce, healthy baked goods, and hippie farmers. Everything about the Farmers' Market makes me so happy, I swear I could just walk around in circles for hours (and I might have tried, but Isabel didn't share the same sentiment). Instead we went to Ivey Cake downtown and ate incredible banana-walnut cupcakes. I didn't complain.

How wonderful. I too crave fresh and local produce with a dash of colorful hippies in the dreary winter months. Hope that you have a fabulous day!

I love a good farmer's market! I wish we had some closer to where I live in Boston! And the weather looks like it was lovely!

When I was away at college, we had the best farmer's market! Now that I like in a "city" I never get to visit a fresh produce market. Glad you enjoyed the day and that you found a happy balance for everyone!

Gorgeous photos! I'm so ready to do some spring flower shopping, but it's still a we bit early here. Between your farmer's market pics and the post I just did about Kinsale, Ireland (where every home and shop has flower boxes it seems), I'm ready to get my hands dirty and pretty up my garden!
