a mini-trip to savannah.
before my family came to charleston, tyler and i drove down the road and met them in savannah because my sister is thinking about going to scad (savannah college of art and design). judging from the two-hour tour we went on, it's safe to say that scad is an amazing college and had me completely wishing i went to art school (i had to take math and science, she would have to take sewing and graphic design?!). we took full advantage of our less-than-24-hour stay, enjoying beautiful scenery and eating delicious food.
p.s. it snowed the entire way to savannah. it was basically a miracle. however, driving on the interstate during a blizzard around people who have probably never seen snow in their life is slightly terrifying. needless to say, i don't recommend it.

Savannah looks amazing!
how wild about that snow!
savannah looks gorgeous--what amazing photos you always take!
Stunning! I may have to reconsider moving from the Northeast ;o)
This looks amazing! Sometimes I think about how things would be different if I had chosen SCAD rather than CCAD. Savannah would certainly be fun (and warmer than Ohio!), but on the other hand, I couldn't be happier about where I am right now :)
Looks like an amazing day!
looks great. I wish I went to art school.....
I can't believe I missed the snow here! It must have been amazing. But agreed.. I would have wanted to avoid the road at all costs. :)
Oh gosh these pictures make me nostalgic. I absolutely love Savannah. And SCAD is amaaaazing, I wish I went too. I looked at some of the handouts when I was there and was all "okayyy time to become an ARTIST!" xo
Woop, woop for Southern snow. We got snow in Alabama too!
Glad you got to go to Savannah. It's one of my favorite cities! Hope you took a little carriage ride.
Wow, it looks so beautiful there.
how fun. i really want to go to savannah too. that is going to be part of our down the coast trip when we hit charleston :)
the snow was crazy in athens too. glad you guys are ok.
Olivia, I'm drooling over those pics. I've been wanting to take a vacation to Charleston and Savannah with my husband. After seeing these pics, we're going to start immediately saving for our vacation fund!
Looks just lovely and so warm! Exploring the South is on my list for the near future!
don't you just love Savannah? It's such a unique place.
How exciting art school!! Happy you guys got there safely... driving in the snow, and any storm is terrifying so I know how you feel! xo
nice pics
I haven't been to Savannah since I was a little girl, and my husband has never been there. Since we're fairly close, we're hoping to take a weekend trip there one day soon! Your photos are gorgeous and make me REALLY want to go!
Savannah looks beautiful. It's on my list of places to visit.
savannah is such a beautiful city. and you photographed it so well. i'm totally with you, wish i went to an art school!
I wish I had to take sewing instead of math!!
so pretty!!! i miss the south so much!
Ohhh, I applied to SCAD! They even gave me a pretty generous scholarship, but as it was still a very expensive school, I chose to go somewhere cheaper in Colorado. I very much wish I would have gone there, though - sort of my big life regret! (so tell that to your sister!)
I got into SCAD but never visited the campus because I live in Seattle, but now I'm wishing that I had gone there. Your post encouraged me to e-mail my admissions counselor to see about reapplying! It looks so warm and beautiful there!
The snow was crazy! I'm loving your shots of the city. Where in the world where you to take the city overview? You know, Savannah is great, but Charleston ain't too shabby...
looks awesome!! and very pretty :)
i hope you know that your photos have single-handedly caused me to add charleston and savannah to my list of "places to visit in the next 10 years"... beautiful! :)
beautiful photos, I've always wanted to visit there.
Your Savannah pictures make me happy. SCAD is a great school. It would be awesome if she went there.
Very jealous- Savannah has been on my wish list of places to visit for awhile now!
These photos are simply stunning.
hey olivia! i stumbled upon your blog a few days back & am loving what you've written about so far. :) and i'm so jealous that you get to live in beautiful charleston!!! i'm heading back to atlanta (i lived there awhile after college) in a few weeks and am taking a side-trip to savannah, where i've never been before. any insider tips about where i should go? restaurants, pastry shops, and definitely coffee shop ideas are welcome! :)
thanks!
