i love.

1.14.2010

i love that my life has settled into its normal routine. it allows me to appreciate the little things, like cooking yummy dinners. plus, tyler is incredibly fun to cook for since everything i make is "the best thing he's ever had."

i love jonathan safran foer's book eating animals because it is a funny, insightful read for omnivores, vegetarians, vegans, anyone. being aware of this stuff is really so important and the more i learn about it, the more and more passionate i become.

i love the space heater my landlord brought us (since our heat doesn't work), but i already have spring fever. i can only get by not doing homework because i'm too cold to concentrate for so long.

i love being a contributor for an amazing new online magazine called southern flourish. i am so proud to have two articles in the premiere issue coming out march 15, i'm literally counting down the days! (find it here)

photos taken last night on a little sunset walk around the neighborhood.

Glad you're settled into your routine and I'm so excited for this southern flourish you speak of. My fiance is applying to law schools all over the country, but every time I read your blog I start rooting for the schools down south! Thanks for inspiring a California girl with your southern hospitality. XXX Kate

I like settling into a routine, too. There's just something... cozy about it, especially in the winter.

My friend took my daughter and I to a fabulous vegan restaurant in Westwood near UCLA last night....loved it! (especially the fab desserts...haha...) Have a great day! xxoo

Congratulations on your magazine articles! How exciting!

And thanks for sharing your thoughts on the book Eating Animals. He's one of my favorite authors and I've been a vegetarian for many years now. I haven't read it yet, but it's at the top of my list.

I agree there's something so comforting about the everyday routine. It's nice to think that we enjoy our daily life so much, especially given that it takes up way more of the year than the holidays do :)

And congrats on your articles- look forward to reading them
