in the last few days, i have discovered that i really hate moving.
i hate it so much that i don’t think i will ever move again.
luckily, that would be fine with me...
because i am madly in love with my new apartment.
it is the most beautiful place i have ever seen.
it looks out on a gorgeous lake, has lots of windows and sunlight,
hardwood floors, glass doorknobs, gauzy white curtains,
“anthropologie” colored walls….
it is perfection.
it was worth the many tears that were shed
during the moving process.
{seriously, it was on the verge of traumatic…}
tyler also moved into a beautiful new place,
which we have named the treehouse.
it is a studio/loft surrounded by trees and overgrown brush
in the middle of the city.
it is so funky and unique…and perfect for tyler.
the only way to get into the treehouse is
a teeny tiny wobbly spiral staircase.
moving in involved tying furniture to bungee cords
and pulling things up.
traumatic.
my mom, isabel, and nan nan were sweet enough to make
the eight hour trek from nashville to come help me decorate.
my mom has a magic touch when it comes to interior design.

thank you for being cheaper than my ugly house in a terrible part of town.
thank you for giving me huge windows to see the prettiest view in charleston.

I hate moving too, yet I have done it a lot. You get used to it evantually. Your place does look absolutely beautiful. I wish you luck with finishing all the unpacking and lovely things that come with moving.

We just moved at the end of May to a place about half the size of what we had been living in. I second the trauma of moving. Many tears were shed on my part.
the spiral staircase is magic. and moving is a pain... but a new place is infinitely worth it! congrats

I hate moving too!!! I think what I hate most is PACKING. I much prefer UN-packing, hehe :)

Oh my gosh... it is so beautiful!! I hate moving too... so good thing you like where you are at! I love that feeling of truly being comfortable where I am at... it just makes it easier to sleep at night!

oh im so happy for you!! i HATE moving so i completely feel for you. everything about it has been a terrible experience for me. you'll have to show us your decorating when you're done!

and i empathize with you about your recent move. i just did that myself last week. although i *love* my new house, it is a big project to move!
also my little sister used to go to college of charleston and my mom lived there for a while, too. it's such a lovely town, one of my most favorite places to visit.
