It's funny how just when you need a little uplifting, something totally random and unexpected shows up.

Today I received a letter from Suman!!! Once I took it out of my mailbox and realized what it was, I cannot express the excitement that came over me. It’s tangible evidence that Suman isn’t as far removed from me as I feel like he is. I think it is amazing that I have in my possession a piece of paper that was once in his possession. Is that weird??

I’m just so excited. It says that he is awaiting my reply! I cannot wait to write him back! It says that he loves to play soccer and his favorite subject in school is Bangla (or Bengali), which is the language of Eastern India (we’re so similar, I’m an English major!)…

It’s really the little things in life…
